Is it morally wrong to…..?

I am a sophomore in high school and have a little dog products company that I sell online and at a pet boutique. The dog treats I sell were my dog’s favorites until I tried giving her the kind of treats that my friend feeds her dog. My dog LOVES them. It’s all she ever wants. I found out some of the ingredients that go into my dog’s new favorite treats. Would it be morally wrong to alter my homemade dog treat recipe using some of the ingredients that make the other dog treats more appealing, in essence stealing part of their recipe (but not all of it)?

of course that’s not immoral; it’s the American way! They may actually have a copyright on their recipe, but that is only on their exact recipe. The ingredients are still free for anyone to use. Go for it! And you could even sell it. That’s not illegal. It is still your recipe, you just ‘enhanced’ it.
